The COMPACT SHOOTING REST is for those with limited platform space where the P3 Original is a little too large. This model is 10″ shorter and 9″ narrower. Other than that it is the same as the P3 with the exception of the front feet are not adjustable. Although they have not been marketing it using the vise attachment, it is long enough to accommodate it. I find this as being a plus for those needing a vise but don’t have enough space for the P3 ULITIMATE GUN VISE. Especially those who only need a vise for handguns. But as you can see, it works well with AR-15 rifles. CTK PRECISION is an American company and their products are made in the USA. These are metal units, not plastic like some others on the market.
