KAC’s NEW BATTLE RIFLE
After winning the US Military’s Semi-Automatic Sniper System (SASS) trials for the new 7.62mm NATO XM110 Sniper Rifle, Reed Knight, of Knight’s Armament Company, has designed a brand new semi-automatic-only carbine version based on the XM 110.
Called simply the 7.62mm NATO Battle Rifle, the new weapon is essentially a 7.62mm version of the M4 carbine, ore more correctly, a 7.62mm version of Knight’s famous SR-15 (Stoner Rifle-12). It uses the same 10-and 20-round magazines as the XM110. With a bolt design like that of the SR-15, the Battle Rifle’s bolt is far stronger than the conventional AR-type bolts used in other .308 or .223 caliber rifles of this ilk.

TAURUS SOCOM PISTOL
The US Special Operation Command’s suspension of its pistol program left a number of firearms companies who had developed pistols out on a limb, but not Taurus. After an extensive program to design and develop a Made in USA, 45ACP pistol that would meet SOCOM’s strict specifications, Taurus has decided to make its 24/7 SOCOM pistol available to law enforcement and qualified private citizens.
A high capacity .45, the 24/7 SOCOM is based on the regular Taurus 24/7, but with some important changes. Instead of being a DAO pistol, the SOCOM model is the first striker-fired pistol that can be cocked and locked, or decocked to provide a first double-action shot. The 5-inch barrel pistol also has an ambidextrous thumb safety/decocker and comes with a polymer frame in SOCOM’s Flat Dark Earth color. ULTIMATE MONO-POD
